Family Relations Work · Effective Parenting Courses
Group or Individual
Parent-Child relationships can be the most difficult and the most rewarding experiences of our lifetime. While it is a common complaint that children do not come with an instruction manual, there are effective means of improving relationships without rewards or punishments that can improve behavior as well.
The goal for effective parenting is to have children who are responsible, cooperative, and able to make healthy decisions, in a modern society that gives extensive choices. You can have a closer, happier, and more connected family that enjoys being together in a cooperative, loving environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute.
Counseling for all Couples
Poor relationships create most of the unhappiness and dissatisfaction we experience in our lives. When we shift the focus to what we do have control over - our behavior - the quality of our relationships will improve.
Couples counseling is most effective when the partners choose to take responsibility for their behavior allowing the other to make his or her own choices. Couples who commit to learning and then practicing relationship building habits will enjoy greater intimacy.
Every effort should be made to preserve relationships; however, during the course of counseling, partners may come to feel they cannot reconcile their differences. Transitions, however painful, can be managed with the help of a caring counselor. The goal is to build a future that preserves the best of the past yet reduces conflict and increases cooperation.
Individual Counseling and Consultation · Effective Leadership Consultation · Effective Team Management and/or Consultation
It is often commented that we spend more time with co-workers or at school than at home with our family. This is frequently true and most people at some point in their lives will experience difficulties in these areas.
We can work on creating and maintaining effective relationships with coworkers, superiors, teachers, and staff members. It can also be helpful to have advice on handling human relations with subordinates, poor performers, mis-behaving employees, students, teachers, and parents.
One of the hardest tasks a person has to do in our modern society is to work in groups. An ineffective, poor performing group can cause considerable stress on an employer or school, but it also takes a toll on the group member themselves. Improving relationships both within and betwen these groups makes them more effective and improves the lives and productivity of everyone involved.
